About Remote Employee Laptop Return Boxes

Remote Retrieval is a laptop return shipping box provider. We help businesses cut down on the cost of providing remote employees with shipping boxes and return laptops and similar IT assets to the company.

As soon as you place an order, you are required to provide employee contact and address, and your company address.

Your remote employee will be shipped a laptop return box which is made of corrugated material, sturdy to pack a laptop and handling for all types of transport.

b. Pre-paid shipping label

Inside the return box, your remote staff will also find a pre-paid shipping label complete with return address, company name, and contact information.

c. Step by step instruction guide

In addition, we also provide a step-by-step instruction guide to help them pack their laptop for return.

d. Tracking update and alerts

With each order of the laptop return box, you get email tracking alerts, reminders, and dedicated customer support. So, you’ll always know when, and where your laptop is in the return process.

We deal with all types of laptop sizes, and provide boxes accordingly. To ensure that you get the best fit for your laptop return box, here is a general guide.

All laptops should snugly fit in the box including the padding and packaging.

Laptops sizes with minimum 11” X 7” X 0.5” and maximum 15.2” X 10 “ X 1” dimensions are the best fit.

For accessories tray, the accessories sizing should be around 15” X 10” X 1”

Of course, we do! For bulky IT assets like monitors and computers, you need different types of boxes that can accommodate their irregular shapes.

Monitor return boxes, for example need larger boxes that also have space for their stands. The packaging include padding with pre-paid shipping label, tape and packing instructions.

Similarly, computer return boxes are designed to accommodate the CPU as well as monitors (if any). The computer return box contains padding that will protect the CPU as well as the delicate monitor with peanut and padded packing materials.

For monitors and computer return boxes, you need to inform us in advance the model, brand, and estimate size at the time of placing the order.

Like our laptop return box service, monitors and computer return box services also have the same treatment.

At the moment we serve companies and remotes based in the United States only. However, we aim to expand our services soon to other countries including Canada and Europe.

We accept online payment methods including credit card, PayPal, Amex, etc. If your payment method is not supported, feel free to contact support team at support@remoteretrieval.com who will help you.

When you place an order with us, we ask for your employee’s details to ship the return box, and your company address where the box is to be returned.

Our laptop returns shipping box service includes provision of boxes, with pre-paid labels, and communication with the employee and alert updates. Our service also includes regular reminders to prompt employees to drop their laptop return box at the nearest USPS.

If despite several reminders, your employee still doesn’t respond then it is beyond the scope of Remote Retrieval. Since we have delivered and completed our service, no refund shall be provided. You will have to coordinate with your remote staff in such an event.

We only provide laptop return services complete with packaging materials but we do not provide storage of IT devices.

Some of our partners do provide data erasure service. For such a service please contact our support team for details.

The shipping process is variable depending on your employee’s location; the time they take to post the return box; customs, transporter; and the return journey.

Generally, though, we take around 1 business day to process your order before a laptop return box is dispatched to your employee.

If you have provided all the information then the box is sent as soon as soon as it is assembled, prepaid label prepared, and instruction guide readied.

As mentioned, depending on other factors, the return shipment may take several days. The positive side is, you will be able to track your shipment all the way until you receive it.

The default shipping company that we use is USPS or UPS for shipping laptop return boxes.

In cases where the destination and IT asset is hard to reach or difficult to ship such as monitors and computers, we may use FedEx.

Depending on the type of device you choose to get returned, and the pre-paid shipping label, we will guide your employee to go to an authorized drop-off or UPS/FedEx store.

We are happy to introduce our service for enterprise laptop return box which is aimed at companies which require more than the ad hoc remote laptop return box. These companies may include:
